“I Believe Abortion Should Be…” [by Religion]

Amongst those who told us that religion was very important to them, 16.0% would prefer to outlaw abortion entirely, compared to less than 2% of those who told us that religion was not important to them.

37.8% of those who told us that religion was not important to them would prefer abortion access to be legal at any time during a pregnancy, compared to only 14.3% of those who told us that religion is very important to them.

Additionally, 36.4% of highly religious people told us that they would prefer abortion to be legal only in cases of rape or medical necessity, compared to 13.9% of less religious people.
